Tonight’s weather story from the National Weather Service:

Wintry weather into Thursday night
Light snow amounts expected for NW Indiana

(November 6, 2019) – Light rain will move into the area this evening and into the overnight hours ahead of an approaching cold front. After midnight rain will start to change over to snow as temperatures drop below freezing. This snow is expected to persist through the morning commute towards midday. By midday, temperatures may warm enough to allow for some mixing of rain and snow to occur once again. Precipitation chances start to diminish Thursday evening for most areas as the cold front pushes south and east of the area however, light lake effect snow is expected to persist through the overnight areas for locations mainly north of Route 6. Storm total snow amounts are expected to remain fairly minor except for counties nearest to Lake Michigan where one to two inches are possible.
