Tonight’s weather story from the National Weather Service:
Cold start to the weekend
Light rain dampens Mother’s Day
(May 10, 2019) – The cool weather will persist through the Mother’s Day weekend and into the early part of next week. Clearing skies tonight will bring a threat for frost – mainly north of US highway 30, especially in the counties along the Indiana/Michigan border. A few blankets to cover sensitive plants should provide enough protection. Rain moves into the area again Saturday evening and lasts through the day Sunday before ending early Monday. The cool trend continues with temperatures 10 to 15 degrees cooler than normal for this time of the year. Looking ahead to the end of next week, a slight warm-up is expected with drier conditions from Monday through Thursday.
