Death Investigation
Date: Monday, April 1, 2019
Time: 12:09 p.m.
Location: 5400 block of South Harrison Street
Details:
Officers with the Fort Wayne Police Department were sent to the report of a shooting located at 5400 block of South Harrison Street at approximately 12:09 p.m. this afternoon. On scene officer entered the residence and eventually found an unresponsive male in the home. Medics and fire personnel determined him to be deceased on the scene.
Detectives investigating this incident are asking for the public’s assistance in providing any unusual observation that neighbors in close proximity might have witnessed. They are instructed to call Crime Stoppers at 436-STOP (436-7867). The Allen County Coroner’s office will release all pertinent information regarding this death investigation to include the identity of the deceased, and the cause and manner of death when appropriate to do so.
This incident remains under investigation by the Fort Wayne Police Department, the Allen County Coroner’s office and the Allen County Prosecutor’s office.
