Tonight’s weather story from the National Weather Service:
Up and down weather
No significant amounts from lake effect
(February 6, 2019) – A low pressure system will approach and move through the area on Thursday, giving the area a 90-100% chance for rain. Higher rainfall amounts are expected generally south of U.S. 24. Then as that system pulls away to the northeast, rain will change over to snow Thursday night as the precipitation leaves the area. Wrap around lake effect snow will be possible on Friday…mainly for southeastern Michigan. High pressure will then overspread the area on Saturday. Skies are expected to be mainly sunny on Saturday, however, temperatures will be on the cool/cold side.
