Frigid temperatures arrive Tuesday, remain through Thursday
(January 27, 2019) – A busy week in the world of weather is ahead, starting with a clipper system that will bring moderate to heavy snow to the area late tonight into Monday night. There is potential for rain to mix in with the snow in areas south of US 24, east of I 69 Monday afternoon-lowering snow amounts in these areas. Gusty winds will cause blowing and drifting snow, making travel hazardous during the Monday morning and evening commutes. Record breaking cold is expected Tuesday into Thursday, with high and low temps as low as 0 to 20 below zero. The wind will make it feel even colder, with wind chills ranging from 15 to 45 below zero. Monitor our website for the latest information, including warnings and advisories.
