Tonight’s weather story from the National Weather Service:
Cold, snowy, windy weekend
(January 17, 2019) – Quiet weather takes over for tonight and Friday with mostly cloudy skies. Late Friday, a strong winter storm takes hold into early Sunday with 4 to 8 inches of snowfall expected. Winds will be able to gust to between 30 to 35 mph on Saturday so blowing and drifting is possible especially in northern areas where snow may be more of a powdery consistency. Behind the storm, very cold air is expected to come in and while winds on Sunday and Monday won’t be as strong as on Saturday, wind chills will be able to drop below zero. Bundle up!
