History Center announces 2018-2019 Mather Lecture Series

(September 20, 2018) — The History Center is proud to announce the presenters for the 2018-2019 George R. Mather Sunday Lecture Series. All lectures are held at 2pm at the History Center and are free to the public. All George R. Mather lectures are made possible through the generous support of the Floyd and Betty Lou Lancia Family Foundation.
The History Center will begin the George R. Mather Sunday Lecture Series on October 7. Author Jennifer Clark will peel back the Appleseed myth using sketches, portraits, and maps gathered during research for her recent book on Johnny Appleseed. The lives of those who have been dismissed from the Appleseed narrative, including women and people of color, will also be discussed.
