News release from the Fort Wayne Fire Department:
(August 6, 2018) – The Fort Wayne Fire Department responded to reported house fire in the 10000 block of Sherrelwood Court yesterday evening at 9:45 pm. Fire apparatus responded during a heavy thunderstorm with heavy rain and lightning.
The first engine arrived on scene and found heavy smoke and fire coming from the roof area of the home. All occupants were reported as being out of the house on arrival. One adult and Two children were found outside of the residence. Firefighters made an aggressive interior attack on the fire which had extended into other areas of the structure. The fire was placed under control in about 40 minutes.
