On July 22, 2018, at 12:42 am, the Fort Wayne Police Department responded to a report of a large fight in a parking lot in the 6800 block of South Hanna Street. While on the way, officers were told that a person had been stabbed. Officers arrived and eventually located two adult males in the parking lot. Both were suffering from apparent stab wounds, and but were in good condition.

A short time later, dispatchers received word that two adult males had been taken to a local hospital via private conveyance, both suffering from apparent stab wounds. One male was determined to be in critical condition, and the other was determined to be in good condition.

Initial information indicates there was a large fight in this parking lot, leading to people being stabbed. While it is believed that the two males who were privately taken to a hospital are related to the incident on Hanna Street, officers are working to confirm that. Furthermore, the relationship between the victims is yet to be determined. There is no suspect information and no other injuries reported.

Detectives will be interviewing witnesses at the scene as well as witnesses at the hospital, while crime scene technicians are searching for and collecting evidence. Anyone with any information is asked to contact police.

The incident remains under investigation by the Fort Wayne Police Department and the Allen County Prosecutor’s Office.

There is nothing further.
