News release from the Fort Wayne Fire Department:
Apartment Fire, Salisbury Drive
(October 4, 2016) – The Fort Wayne Fire Department responded to a call of an apartment fire in the 6100 block of Salisbury Drive at 2:10 p.m. today. Crews arrived to find smoke and fire in the kitchen area. They conducted an aggressive interior attack, while other crews worked to ensure there was no extension into other apartments, and all apartments were evacuated. The fire was brought under control within 5 minutes of arriving on scene.
The FWFD was assisted by the FWPD, Neighborhood Code Enforcement, TRAA and AEP.
