Allen County War Memorial Coliseum Named No. 4 in the World on Venues Today “Top Stop” List for July-August 2016
(September 27, 2016) – The Allen County War Memorial Coliseum in Fort Wayne, Indiana, is No. 4 in the world for concert ticket sales, among similar-sized venues, on the Venues Today “Top Stop” rankings for the July-August 2016 reporting period.
The ranking, released in the September 2016 issue of Venues Today, was based on concert and event grosses from July 16 through August 15, 2016, as reported to the industry leading publication.
The top four venues on the list were the Mandalay Bay Events Center, Las Vegas at No. 1; the Brisbane (Australia) Entertainment Centre at No. 2; the Perth (Australia) Arena at No. 3; and the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum at No. 4.
“We had an exceptional summer and looking ahead to the fall and spring event schedule is very encouraging,” said Randy L. Brown, Executive Vice President & General Manager.
This most recent ranking includes the Dolly Parton concert on August 3 and the Kiss concert on August 12, among other events. The rankings are among similar sized venues, seating between 10,001 and 15,000 people.
