Statement from the Allen County Board of Commissioners on the passing of Linda Vandeveer:
We are deeply saddened by today’s news that Linda Vandeveer had passed away. She displayed great grace and courage during the final months of her time here on Earth and the images of her living life to its fullest during that very challenging period will remain with us forever. For her wonderful husband Jerry, the entire Vandeveer family, and all of Linda’s friends, we offer these words of comfort from Charles Dickens: “The pain of parting is nothing to the joy of meeting again.”
To honor Linda Vandeveer and the great work she and Jerry have done for our community, we will lower the flags at our county-owned buildings.
