House fire, Scott Avenue
(September 19, 2016) – Fort Wayne Fire Department units responded to a reported house fire in the 1300 block of Scott Ave. Upon arrival, crews encountered heavy fire in the rear with power lines down in the back yard.
Fire was impinging on a home next door and also spreading to a large shed. Crews initiated a coordinated attack
to address multiple issues and also search for any occupants that may have still been inside. The fire was placed under control within 17 minutes and crews remained on the scene to extinguish any remaining spot fires.The Fort Wayne Fire Department was assisted by AEP, NIPSCO, NCE, FWFD, TRAA and Red Cross.
