Showers and t-storms likely by afternoon
Turning much cooler and drier tonight and Sunday
(August 8, 2016) – Showers and thunderstorms will develop ahead of a strong cold front by mid afternoon and rapidly sweep east out of the area by mid evening. An isolated strong storm with gusty winds and heavy rain is possible. Much cooler and drier air will overspread the area tonight and Sunday. Highs this afternoon will range from near 80 west to the low 80s east. Lows tonight will be in the lower 60s. Strong west winds across Lake Michigan tonight and Sunday will lead to dangerous swimming conditions. Beachgoers are advised to stay out of the water tonight and Sunday!
