Tonight’s weather story from the National Weather Service:
Skies clearing, less humid
(July 18, 2016) – Skies will clear out this evening across the area with less humidity settling in for a few days.
Temperatures will not change much with highs still expected in the lower to middle 80s through Wednesday. A weak system will try to move in from the northwest to bring a chance for showers and thunderstorms Wednesday night into Thursday. However, what little will fall won’t do much to help many areas getting rather dry.
After Thursday, rain chances leave for a few days, with the heat and humidity arriving at temperatures reaching well into the 90s Friday and possibly Saturday.
Heat indices may reach above 100 degrees for the first time this season by Friday.
