IPFW Statement Regarding Purdue/IU Management Agreement Extension
(June 17, 2016) — In response to the actions taken by the Indiana University and Purdue Univerisity Boards of Trustees regarding the management agreement of IPFW, Chancellor Vicky Carwein has issued the following statement:
“Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne (IPFW) appreciates that both the Purdue Board of Trustees and IU Board of Trustees recognize that January’s Legislative Services Agency (LSA) working group recommendations need further discussion and analysis. We look forward to the active involvement and engagement of our students, faculty, staff, and community throughout this discussion. Inclusive engagement is vital to the success of IPFW and developing a plan that best positions the institution for meeting the needs of the region, now and into the future.
“As these conversations continue, IPFW’s focus will remain on serving our students and region according to the goals articulated in Plan 2020, with student success the number one priority. We look forward to working with Purdue and IU and other colleagues as this process unfolds.”
