American Cancer Society Relay For Life of Fort Wayne Teams up with Insane Inflatable 5K in the Fight Against Cancer

(June 10, 2016) – The American Cancer Society Relay For Life of Fort Wayne has partnered with the upcoming Insane Inflatable 5K event. Insane Inflatable 5K is a dynamic fun run series made up of inflatable obstacles with a course length of approximately a 5K distance (3.1 miles). Through the partnership, volunteers and participants are needed to help raise funds and awareness for the fight against cancer and the Relay For Life movement.

A portion of the proceeds from the event will be donated to the Relay For Life of Fort Wayne, along with $5 for every participant that registers with the code “ACS5”.

“We are excited about teaming up with Insane Inflatable 5K which provides an opportunity to raise awareness and funds for the fight against cancer,” said Chrissy Buchanan, Fort Wayne volunteer Relay For Life event lead and cancer survivor. “The Relay For Life movement provides our community the opportunity to make the greatest impact in the fight to end cancer and every donation brings us one step closer to saving more lives.”

Insane Inflatable 5K will be in Fort Wayne on Saturday, August 6th at The Plex North, 1807 E. California Rd. Volunteers are needed from 7am – 1pm, and the event starts at 8:00 am for participants.

“We are honored to bring this fastest growing 5K fun run across the country with some of the proceeds benefiting the American Cancer Society,” said Stuart Kaul, director of events. “We encourage everyone to come out and have a great time for a great cause.”

The Relay For Life movement is the world’s largest fundraising event to fight every cancer in every community. Dollars raised help the American Cancer Society save lives by funding groundbreaking cancer research, providing free information and critical services for people with cancer, and supporting education and prevention programs.

Volunteers can contact Britny Berndt at 260-484-5531 or britny.berndt@cancer.org and participants can register online with the code “ACS5” for the Insane Inflatable 5K event at: www.insaneinflatable5k.com.
