Details:

On Sunday, 06/12/2016, at approximately 12:00 AM, the City of Fort Wayne Police Department responded to the 6900 block of South Anthony Boulevard reference a vehicle crash with injuries. Officers arrived on scene and observed the crash involved a two vehicle rollover crash. A Ford Mustang and a Dodge Caliber were the vehicles involved. The two occupants of the Mustang were transported by paramedics to a local hospital. One occupant was transported in critical condition and the other in serious condition. It is unknown which subject was driving the Mustang at the time of the crash. The driver and sole occupant of the Caliber had a complaint of leg and back pain; however, she was not transported from the scene by paramedics.

Preliminary reports indicate both vehicles were traveling southbound on South Anthony Blvd. It appears the Mustang was traveling at a very high rate of speed and rear-ended the Caliber. The collision caused the Caliber to roll several times before coming to rest on its top in the middle of Anthony Boulevard. The Mustang left the east side of the roadway, rolled, and came to rest in the front yard of a residence. Both occupants of the Mustang were ejected from the vehicle when it rolled.

Crash Investigators are currently collecting evidence and processing the crash scene. Investigators reported high speed was a contributing factor in the crash. It is unknown at this time if alcohol or drugs were contributing factors. South Anthony Boulevard is currently closed to all traffic between Southdale Avenue and Seddlemeyer Avenue. This incident remains under investigation by the City of Fort Wayne Police Department and the Allen County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.
