Showers and thunderstorms return Thursday
Marginal risk for severe weather Thursday evening

 

  • Showers and isolated thunderstorms possible in the morning
  • Better chance for thunderstorms Thursday evening, mainly after 7 p.m.
  • Some storms could be severe Thursday evening, with gusty winds, large hail and heavy rain
  • Marginal risk could be upgraded to a slight risk late tonight/Thursday a.m.

 

(June 8, 2016) – Dry conditions are expected overnight, with mainly clear skies. Lows will be on the cooler side again, with mid 40s to low 50s.

Shower and thunderstorm chances will increase on Thursday across the area. A few showers and a possible rumble of thunder may move into the area from the west through the morning hours into the early afternoon, however many locations may remain dry during this period. A better chance for showers and thunderstorms will move into the area Thursday evening.

Some of these storms may be severe, with gusty winds, large hail and heavy rainfall possible. According to the Storm Prediction Center, the Marginal Risk may be upgraded to a Slight Risk later tonight or Thursday morning.
