Severe storms possible today
(June 6, 2016) – Be weather aware this afternoon. Thunderstorms will move into/develop over the area starting around 2-3 pm EDT. Severe weather is possible, with damaging wind gusts and hail up to 1″ in diameter being the main threat. Areas east of US-31 have the potential for severe weather this afternoon. Our confidence in storms reaching severe thresholds is low at this time due to a lack of moisture and lower instability. These environmental factors may limit the severe potential, but it’s still important to monitor for changing conditions. Stay tuned for updates!
