News release from the Fort Wayne Fire Department:
On May 31, 2016, at 9:29 a.m., the Fort Wayne Fire Department responded to the report of a house fire in the 500 block of Pellston Drive. A fire was located in the attic of this home after the occupants awoke to a smell of smoke. Smoke was observed coming from the eves of the home. Upon fire dept arrival the fire was located in the attic.
The fire was extinguished with moderate damage to the home.
Both occupants and 4 pets evacuated before FWFD’s arrival
