Three Rivers Festival is honored to announce Bob Chase as the Parade Grand Marshal
The Lutheran Health Network Parade will be held on July 9, 2016 at 10am

(May 23, 2016) – The Three Rivers Festival, title sponsor Hanning & Bean and parade sponsor Lutheran Health Network are honored to announce that this year’s Parade Grand Marshal will be Bob Chase.

Bob Chase first made his presence known in Fort Wayne Radio in 1953 on WOWO-AM broadcasting sports. For over 60 years he has been the exuberant voice of the Fort Wayne Komets, not even slowing down when he turned 90 earlier this year. In 2012, he received the prestigious Lester Patrick Award. He retired from WOWO in 2009.

“Bob Chase is a Fort Wayne legend,” said Jack Hammer, Executive Director of the Three Rivers Festival. “We could not think of a better fit for Grand Marshal in a parade themed ‘Indiana’s Bicentennial: Celebrate History. Ignite the Future’.”

The Lutheran Health Network Parade will commence on Saturday, July 9th at 10am. Get there early to reserve your spot and enjoy participants display their community pride.
