News release from the Fort Wayne Fire Department:
Glenbrook Health and Rehab fire
(May 24, 2016) – Fort Wayne Fire Department crews were dispatched to a reported Building fire at 3811 Parnell Avenue at 11:03 a.m. today. Crews arrived to find heavy smoke coming from a patients room and exterior door. Crews advanced a handline into structure to find the interior sprinkler system had extinguished the fire. Large amount of smoke was removed from the structure and the sprinkler system was shut down and drained by FWFD. Facility staff quickly evacuated residents to a safe area on the exterior of the building. No one was injured.
FWPD, and TRAA assisted the FWFD.
