House Fire, Oliver Street
(May 19, 2016) – Fort Wayne firefighters responded to a house on fire in the 4600 block of Oliver Street this afternoon. Upon arrival firefighters encountered fire in the front room of the home just beginning to extend through the exterior wall. The fire was quickly brought under control and there were no injuries although a family dog perished. The fire damage was moderate but the home sustained heavy smoke damage. The fire remains under investigation at this time.
