News release from the Fort Wayne Fire Department:
House Fire, Evard Road
(May 4, 2016) – The Fort Wayne Fire Department was called to house fire at 4629 Evard Road at 8:11 p.m., on May 4, 2016. When crews arrived they found the back of the home heavily involved and extending into the structure. Fire Crews searched the home and found that no one was home at the time of the fire. It took crews about 15 minutes to bring the fire under control. One pet perished in the fire. The family is being assisted by the American Red Cross.
The Fire Department was assisted by NIPSCO, AEP, Fort Wayne Police and Neighborhood code.
