News release from the Fort Wayne Fire Department:
House Fire, Bowser Avenue
(April 19, 2016) – The Fort Wayne Fire Department was called to the 3500 block of Bowser Avenue on April 19, 2016, to a fire outside between the garage and the home. When fire crews arrived they found that the fire had entered the garage and the back of the home.
The occupants of the home at the time of the fire were 1 adult, 2 children and a dog. The adult removed the children from the home and a neighbor removed the dog.
Fire Crews arrived to find heavy fire at the back of the home that had entered the garage and the home. Crews had the fire under control in six minutes. The home suffered moderate fire and smoke damage. An interior door of the home kept the fire from traveling throughout the structure.
