News release from the Fort Wayne Fire Department:
House Fire, Hunters Knoll Place
(April 18, 2016) – The Fort Wayne Fire Department responded to reported house fire at 822 Hunters Knoll Place and upon arrival firefighters found heavy smoke coming from the rear of the house. First fire units arrived in about four minutes and found heavy fire in the rear of the house coming from the deck and sun room they made a quick attack on the fire while other crews checked to see if anyone was inside of the home. No one was found to be at home.
The fire was placed under control in about seven minutes. Crews were able to keep the fire out of the main part of the house. There was heavy fire damage to the deck and part of the sun room moderate water damage minor smoke damage to the house.
No injuries were reported and this fire remains under investigation.
