ISP Accepting Applications for Evidence Clerk for the Fort Wayne Regional Laboratory

(April 17, 2016) – The Indiana State Police is accepting applications for an Evidence Clerk position at the Fort Wayne Regional Laboratory.

Applicants must be able to work with spreadsheets, databases and specialized software. They should also have the ability to communicate clearly, both orally and written, with both scientific and non-scientific personnel. Operation of office equipment to include copy machines, computers and photographic equipment will be required as well as reviewing and completing documents for accuracy. Applicants must be able to function independently and work under pressure in a stressful environment while maintaining confidentiality. Those interested should review the job description for a complete list of responsibilities, duties, essential functions and job requirements.

Applicants must be a high school graduate or possess the equivalent GED and must be able to lift and move heavy items as well as the ability to place items in storage bins at varying heights. Applicants must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to operate a motor vehicle. Some travel may be required. An employment toxicology screen will be required.
