FWFD: 3 rescued at house fire

 

 

News release from the Fort Wayne Fire Department:

3 rescued at house fire

(April 17, 2016) – Early this morning the Fort Wayne Fire Department responded to a residential structure fire in the city’s downtown area. The first arriving Fire personnel used ground ladders to rescue 3 residents from a porch roof, and extinguished a fire on the first floor while searching for victims. No residents or emergency responders were injured during this incident. Two rooms on the first floor sustained fire damage, and the entire home was damaged by smoke.

FWFD and residents were assisted on scene by the Fort Wayne Police Department, Three Rivers Ambulance Authority, Fort Wayne Neighborhood Code Enforcement, AEP, and NIPSCO.
