(April 14, 2016) — Student research and creative endeavor was highlighted at the March 30, 2016, symposium on the Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne (IPFW) campus. More than 100 undergraduate and graduate students—more than at any previous symposium—presented their research in 100 posters that were judged by faculty teams.

“Not only did we have more student presenters this year, we also had more faculty mentors and judges to work with the students,” Truesdell said. “When asked for comments about the symposium, one student wrote: ‘Presenting research at the symposium helped me get more experience with answering questions about my research and explaining it to people from a variety of backgrounds. I’m hoping this experience will help me be a great candidate as I apply for graduate school.’ The posters will be available soon on Opus (opus.ipfw.edu), IPFW’s research and creative endeavor database.”

Mark your calendars for next year’s symposium, which will take place Wednesday, March 29, 2017.
