Blustery with rain/snow showers and a few thunderstorms!
(April 8, 2016) – A low pressure system and associated cold front will sweep southeast across our area today causing blustery conditions with rain/snow showers and a few thunderstorms. Visibilities may drop significantly during snow showers this afternoon. Temperatures will remain much below normal with highs ranging from the upper 30s to mid 40s. Snow showers are likely tonight with lows in the 20s. High pressure will build into the area Saturday ending the snow showers but it will continue unseasonably cold with highs mainly in the 30s. A warm front will move into the area late Saturday night possibly causing a wintery mix of precipitation into early Sunday morning, with just rain by afternoon. Highs Sunday will warm into the upper 40s and lower 50s after lows Saturday night in the 20s.
