News release from Indiana Michigan Power:

I&M Outage Update

(April 3, 2016) – I&M crews continue to make repairs after a wind storm moved through the area Saturday. At the peak, approximately 17,000 customers were without power. As of this update, 85% of customers have been restored and we are working to restore service to around 2,800 customers in the following counties:

  • Allen (400)
  • Blackford (200)
  • Delaware (2,000)
  • Madison (200)
  • Randolph (<100)

Estimated 100 percent Service Restoration Times are as follows (many customers will be restored sooner as crews continue their work):

Counties of Allen, Randolph and Blackford are expected to be fully restored by midnight tonight
Delaware and Madison are expected to be fully restored by 4/4/2016 at midnight
Jay and LaPorte, and St Joseph counties are restored.

High winds caused extensive damage to poles and other equipment. Our crews are working to restore power as quickly and safely as possible.

We appreciate the patience of all of our customers as we work to restore power as quickly and safely as possible. For updates on individual outages, we encourage customers to enroll in I&M mobile alerts at www.IndianaMichiganPower.com/alerts.
