USF Closer Look Lecture Series: Stephen Takacs

(March 30, 2016) — The University of Saint Francis School of Creative Arts presents Photographer Stephen Takacs as part of the Closer Look Lecture Series on Wednesday, April 20, at 7:30 p.m. in the USF North Campus Auditorium, 2702 Spring Street.

Takacs will discuss his Brownie In Motion portable art installation project, which consists of a room-sized camera obscura and darkroom capable of producing large-scale direct positive images on-site, taking place at the University of Saint Francis main campus. The project debuted in 2013, and the USF appearance is part of a tour across the United States.

Stephen Takacs is a photography lecturer in the Department of Art at The Ohio State University, and an active member of The STEAM Factory, a diverse, cross-disciplinary collaborative group made up of staff and faculty from the OSU community.
