NIPSCO renews support of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Fort Wayne

(March 22, 2016) – NIPSCO renewed its support of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Fort Wayne today, as an “Advocate for Change” 2016 annual corporate sponsor. Dana Berkes, NIPSCO Public Affairs Manager, presented the check for $5,000 to Joe Jordan, President & CEO of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Fort Wayne.

“As we renew our annual commitment, we salute the Boys and Girls Clubs of Fort Wayne for its continuing effort to create a better future for kids in our community,” said Dana Berkes.

“NIPSCO has been an important part of the Club for many years and we appreciate the interest and confidence they show in the work we are doing with Fort Wayne youth,” commented Joe Jordan, “This is a great example of how the business and nonprofit sectors can work together to make a tangible difference in our community”

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Fort Wayne provided structured afterschool programs focusing on education, character & leadership and healthy choices, to its 1,900 children and teens from high-risk areas of the city in 2015. Including non-member programs, the Clubs touched the lives of over 2,800 young people.
