Kroger Honors Mary Ann King as 2015 Community Service Award Winner
Selected from 136 nominees across multi-state operating division(March 17, 2016) – The Kroger Co.’s Central Division, headquartered in Indianapolis, has announced Community Service Award Winners for 2015 who were selected from among 136 nominees submitted by each of the division’s stores. Mary Ann King, an employee at the Kroger store located at 218 East Pettit Avenue in Fort Wayne, Indiana, was selected as one of 11 winners for 2015.

Mary Ann seizes every opportunity she can to volunteer for events sponsored by Kroger ranging from cancer walks to United Way events. Every year, she volunteers for the district picnic. Mary Ann also takes it upon herself to raise money for families in need during the holidays, the Veterans Administration hospital, the ASPCA and the local battered women’s shelter. In addition to these things, Mary Ann helps at the local soup kitchens every holiday.
Mary Ann is a 15 year employee of The Kroger Co. She was nominated by the Store Manager at her location, Waide Voght.
