NWS: Decreasing winds and cold

Tonight’s weather story from the National Weather Service:

Decreasing winds and cold

(March 17, 2016) – Gusty westerly winds will slowly diminish towards sunset and continue a downward trend tonight with skies becoming mostly clear. The clearing skies will allow temperatures to fall into the lower to middle 30s. Mostly sunny skies are expected Friday. Friday will be the warmest of the next couple of days with highs reaching well into the 40s to near 50 as high pressure currently across Canada sinks south and brings colder air with it. A chance of showers will exist Saturday afternoon as a weak disturbance moves through the area. Highs both Saturday and Sunday will struggle into the 40s…with areas closer to Lake Michigan possibly not reaching 40.
