Today’s weather story from the National Weather Service:
Flooding by late week?
(March 7, 2016) – Increasing southerly winds will usher in not only warmer air but more humid conditions. This will help set the stage for increasing rain chances, starting mainly tonight and continuing into Thursday night.
The maps show the potential rain forecast for each period defined above the graphic. Rainfall totals through Thursday evening could exceed 2 inches in some areas. River levels will continue to slowly rise in many areas, with the potential for minor flooding occurring in some basins later this week into this weekend.
Much above normal temperatures in the 60s will be felt across the area with lows in the 50s until Thursday night when a cold front will cool down the region.
