News release from the Fort Wayne Fire Department:
House Fire, 5100 block Eastwick Drive
(March 2, 2016) – Occupant at a house in the 5100 block of Eastwick Drive stated he was sleeping and was awakened by smoke alarm. Occupant stated he saw smoke and exited the structure to find exterior wall on fire. Crews made a quick knock down of exterior fire and found fire had extended into attic and roof area. Heavy overhaul was needed to get to fire in walls and roof area.
AEP, FWPD, TRAA, and Neighborhood Code Enforcement all assisted at the scene.
