Tonight’s weather story from the National Weather Service:
Warmer temperatures on the way
(February 26, 2016) – Skies will clear from west to east this evening, allowing for another cold night as lows drop into the 20s across the area. Abundant sunshine is expected Saturday which will help begin the melting process of much of the snowpack from this weeks storm. The snowpack will help keep temperatures cooler across the north and west where highs will reach the upper 30s to lower 40s. Areas free of snow should see highs climb into the upper 40s to near 50. Even warmer temperatures are expected Sunday with increasing clouds during the day as a system moves into the region, bringing a chance of showers Sunday afternoon. Highs will reach the 50s to possibly near 60 in some locations. We continue to watch a system for the middle of next week, but confidence in what will occur across the forecast area remains very low.
