…WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 4 PM THIS AFTERNOON TO 4 PM EST THURSDAY…

HAZARDOUS WEATHER…

* RAIN WILL FALL THROUGH EARLY AFTERNOON…POSSIBLY BEGINNING AS A MIX OF RAIN AND SNOW. THE RAIN WILL MIX WITH AND THEN CHANGE TO ALL SNOW BY LATE AFTERNOON.

* STORM TOTAL SNOWFALL ACCUMULATIONS OF 3 TO 5 INCHES EXPECTED BY LATE THURSDAY AFTERNOON.

* THE HEAVIEST SNOWFALL IS EXPECTED TONIGHT.

* NORTH WINDS WILL INCREASE TO 20 TO 30 MPH LATE THIS AFTERNOON AND SHIFT TO THE NORTHWEST TONIGHT AND THURSDAY. GUSTS TO 35 MPH ARE POSSIBLE TONIGHT INTO THURSDAY CAUSING SOME BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW AND REDUCED VISIBILITIES.

IMPACTS…

* TRAVEL CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED TO DETERIORATE LATE THIS AFTERNOON…WITH THE MOST HAZARDOUS CONDITIONS OCCURRING DURING THE EVENING AND THURSDAY MORNING COMMUTES.

* SCATTERED TREE AND POWER LINE DAMAGE DUE TO THE COMBINATION OF HEAVY…WET SNOW AND STRONG WINDS MAY LEAD TO POWER OUTAGES.

* ROADS WILL BECOME SNOW COVERED AND SLICK.

A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SNOW MEANS THAT PERIODS OF SNOW WILL CAUSE PRIMARILY TRAVEL DIFFICULTIES. BE PREPARED FOR SNOW COVERED ROADS AND LIMITED VISIBILITIES…AND USE CAUTION WHILE DRIVING.
