NWS: Snow and strong winds expected

 

 

The updated Winter Weather Advisory issued by the National Weather Service, in effect from 4 p.m. today until 4 p.m. tomorrow, February 25, 2016.

Tonight’s weather story from the National Weather Service:

Snow and strong winds expected
Blizzard Warning issued for northwest areas

(February 24, 2016) – A blizzard warning has been issued for some counties along and west of US-31. 8-12″ of snow is expected for much of the area. The combination of very heavy snowfall rates (1-2″/hr) and strong winds will lead to whiteout conditions later today into tonight.

A mix of rain and snow is expected generally east of I-69 but will transition over to all snow by later tonight.

Snow and blowing snow will then continue through Thursday.
