Quiet weather tonight into Thursday afternoon
(February 22, 2016) – A low pressure system will move through the region Tuesday night into Thursday. Rain will move into the area late Tuesday night, gradually transitioning to all snow from west to east through the day Wednesday. By late Wednesday evening, most areas will be transitioned to a wet snow. Confidence in precipitation type on Wednesday is still low, so total snow amounts could change considerably. Travel conditions Wednesday evening into Thursday will be hazardous. In addition to heavy, wet snow fall winds out of the North-Northwest may gust to 30-40 mph, especially near the lakeshore.
