News release from the Fort Wayne Fire Department:
House Fire, 4500 block Monroe Street
(February 17, 2016) – Fire crews arrived to find smoke from a house in the 4500 block of Monroe Street at 5:30 p.m. They entered to find a small fire in the front room with smoke thru out the house. The Fire was extinguished quickly. One firefighter received a minor injury.
The fire was under control in less than 10 minutes.
The fire department was assisted by FWPD, TRAA, NCE, AEP, and NIPSCO.
