The 2016 All-Star Comedy Jam at the Embassy RESCHEDULED to April 9, 8:30 p.m.

(January 20, 2016) – The 2016 All-Star Comedy Jam scheduled to be at the Embassy this Saturday, Jan. 23, has been rescheduled to April 9 at 8:30 p.m. Tickets will be honored on the new date. Refunds for those not able to attend April 9 are available through point of purchase.

The 2016 All-Star Comedy Jam features comedians Damon Williams, Nikki Carr, Redbone, Hot Sauce, Jesnaira Baez and hosted by Gary Menke. Tickets are $38 for pit seating, $28 for all other seats and are on sale now through ticketmaster.com, charge-by-phone 800.745.3000 and at the Embassy box office.

Damon Williams is a former Subway sandwich shop owner from Chicago who began his career at All Jokes Aside Comedy Club. Williams can be heard weekly on the nationally syndicated Tom Joyner Morning Show doing the hilariously funny Seriously Ignorant News. William’s numerous television appearances include BET’s Comic View annually since 94 including his own one hour special. He’s been featured on BET LIVE,Comedy Central’s Premium Blend, The Joyner Skyshow on TV ONE and HBO’s P Diddys Bad Boys of Comedy. His popularity has provided him the opportunity to work with some of the biggest stars in the business including Aretha Franklin, Pattie Labelle, Luther Vandross, Ray Charles, Harry Belafonte, Chris Rock, James Brown, Jamie Foxx, Little Richard and President Barack Obama. Damon maintains his monthly comedy showcases in Chicago online at FunnyFirstSaturdays.com. A star on the rise, his motto is “Don’t stop and don’t quit.”

Comedian Nikki Carr is best known for her appearances on Last Comic Standing, Change the Game and BET’s Comicview. Carr is well known for her comedic national anthem “Fat Girls.” Since making her television appearance on BET’s Comic View and It’s Showtime at the Apollo, Carr has been highly requested by colleges, universities and military bases nationwide and worldwide.

Notoriously known for his high-energy stage show, comedian/actor Mike Redbone Alcott has been ripping up clubs and colleges all across the country with his quick wit and unpredictable physical comedy. Redbone has performed on Comedy Central and BET’s Comic View. Redbone likes to brand his comedy as colorblind comedy where all races, creeds, and colors can enjoy his performance and walk away with smiles on their faces.

Brandon Glover, aka Hot Sauce, got his moniker for the bright red color his face turns when he’s “on fire” on stage. Hot Sauce debuted his raucous act on stage at the St. Louis Funny Bone. Since then, there’s been no turning back for this up and coming superstar. Hot Sauce has recently been headlining in Atlanta, Chicago, Indianapolis, Little Rock, Minneapolis, New York, New Jersey and Kansas City. Hot Sauce continues to wow audiences with his unique, sophisticated storytelling-style of humor.

Jesnaira Baez (Jari) was born and raised in Humbolt Park on the West Side of Chicago and has been doing stand-up since 2010. She first stepped on the stage as a dare from a friend. After a few “open mic” nights she fell in love with stand-up comedy. Since then, she has been traveling to colleges and clubs across the Midwest.
Host Gary Menke has been making people laugh for more than 20 years. In addition to his appearances on the hit CBS show Nash Bridges, he has been on Comedy Central and featured on Satellite Radio and the Travel Channel. Menke is a sure bet to entertain any crowd.
