Community Foundation awards grant to Brightpoint

Community Foundation of Greater Fort Wayne Awards Grant to Brightpoint

(January 28, 2016) – Brightpoint (formerly Community Action of Northeast Indiana or CANI) was awarded a grant of $75,000 from the Community Foundation of Greater Fort Wayne through the John S. & James L. Knight Foundation Fund. The grant will fund Brightpoint’s Small Business Loan program to provide loans and financial education to participants.

The Brightpoint Development Fund operates the Small Business Loan program to provide loans and education to small business owners, start-ups, and entrepreneurs. Loans offered range from $300 to $50,000. Borrowers must have a responsible credit history, some available collateral, and a business plan. Potential borrowers can start the process by filling out the application, which can be found at www.mybrightpoint.org/loans.

The Community Foundation of Greater Fort Wayne, which was founded in 1956, seeks to serve the Allen County community by improving the quality of life for all of our citizens.
