Tonight’s weather story from the National Weather Service:
Quiet & mild through Sunday afternoon
(February 6, 2016) – Quiet and mild conditions will continue through Sunday afternoon.
Clouds will increase late tonight with low temperatures from the upper 20s to around 30.
Highs on Sunday will reach into the mid 40s. A series of disturbances will dig across the Great Lakes region for the Monday to Wednesday period bringing colder air along with snow showers. The heaviest three day snow accumulations are expected across the favored lake effect areas in far north central Indiana and southwest lower Michigan where several inches of accumulations are possible during this period. The heaviest lake effect snow is expected during the Monday night into Tuesday period. Even outside of lake effect areas, lighter accumulations may pose some hazardous travel conditions.
It remains too early for precise forecast snow amounts, but the potential does exist for hazardous travel for the Monday through Wednesday period.
