News release from the Allen County Commissioners:

Four More County Workers Presented Service Awards
Recipients nominated by fellow employees

(January 29, 2016) — Four more Allen County government workers have been singled out for distinction as part of the County’s recently established employee recognition program.

At its legislative session today, the Board of Commissioners presented County Civil Service Awards to the four employees for going above and beyond providing essential services to the county’s citizens.

Those recognized today were:

  • Mark Heber, assistant director of pollution control in the Fort Wayne-Allen County Department of health;
  • Teresa Peters, property tax deputy in the Auditor’s Office;
  • John Caywood, property maintenance minimum housing inspector in the Building Department;
  • Shinisha Grayson, administrative assistant in the Building Department.

The County Civil Service Award program, established by the Commissioners last December, allows employees to nominate their fellow workers for clearly demonstrating exceptional service, noteworthy commitment or efficient and innovative ideas.#
