Rain today – colder Wednesday
Thunderstorms with strong wind gusts possible late today
(February 2, 2016) – Rain and brisk east winds will continue over the area today as the low pressure approaches. A brief warmup will occur late today bringing a chance of thunderstorms late this afternoon into the evening. Some of the storms could create wind gusts to 55 mph, mainly south of a Monticello to Marion line.
Colder air will move in behind the low overnight and Wednesday, with seasonal temperatures by Wednesday evening.
