Rain developing today
(February 2, 2016) – A strong low pressure system will move northeast from the central Plains this morning to the Upper Great Lakes Wednesday morning. Rain and brisk east winds will overspread our area today as the low approaches. There is also a chance of thunderstorms this afternoon and this evening. Some of the storms could have wind gusts to 55 mph, mainly south of a Monticello to Marion line.
Colder air will move in behind the low overnight and Wednesday, with temperatures falling back to seasonable normals by Wednesday evening.
