Travel ADVISORY Issued for Unincorporated Allen County
(January 12, 2016) – The Allen County Office of Homeland Security has issued a Winter Weather Travel ADVISORY for the unincorporated areas of Allen County. An ADVISORY means that routine travel or activities may be restricted in areas because of a hazardous situation, and individuals should use caution or avoid those areas.
The ADVISORY was issued due to numerous accidents and slideoffs that were occurring on county highways this morning. Roads are snow covered, slick and hazardous. Although snow depths are light, winds between 25 and 30 miles per hour and ice are causing hazardous travel conditions. Motorists are urged to use caution.
